Spirit Light - Spirit Transfer - Mend Body and Soul - Spirit Light Weapon - Mighty Was Vorizun - Empowerment - Life - Flesh of My Flesh

Healing build that takes its power from Mighty Was Vorizun and Empowerment. It effectiveness also comes from the cheap effective heals that it uses, combined with a massive heal that can heal for 250 while having an activation time of 1/4 second, Spirit Transfer. Spirit Transfer is a non-elite skill that is not as cheap as WoH, but it casts quicker and can heal for more. The downsize of the skill is that it requires a spirit within range. The health it drains shouldn't be too much of a problem, Spawning Power gives the spirits enough health to survive.

Looking into a replacement/rebuild for the Resto Necro in my heavily modified Saabway team build.

SS Necro: OAhjYwHc4M5Bh2noM4CtEV1LGA
Spiteful Spirit, Reckless Haste, Weaken Armor, Barbs, Mark of Pain, Defile Enchantments, Flesh of my Flesh, Signet of Lost Souls

Backup MM/Hex Slave: OAVDMYxmSPAKgoBxMUBTVVVaBA
Mantra of Inscriptions, Signet of Sorrow, Signet of Lost Souls, Verata's Sacrifice, Animate Bone Fiends, Putrid Bile, Death Nova, Discord OR Jagged Bones OR Aura of the Lich

Hero Bomber: OASjUwhDJTOTNTIXVBLVKgXMYCA
Boon of Creation, Explosive Growth, Spirit's Gift, Animate Bone Minions, Jagged Bones, Flesh of My Flesh, Taste of Death, Putrid Bile OR Death Nova

My Weapon Spell Resto build (16 SP, 15 Resto): OACjEyiDJTJbMbxTTMriEPYMXMA
Wielder's Zeal/Remedy/Boon, Vengeful Weapon, Resilient Weapon, Splinter Weapon, Flesh of My Flesh, Great Dwarf Weapon

The "healing" Weapon Spells are mainly going onto my Heroes/Henchies/NPCs, while the "damage" ones go onto the minions as I feel like it. Mostly, I would appreciate constructive criticism or comments on my Weapon Spell build, I just included the Hero builds for completion's sake.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I refuse to run Spirits, because they are expensive, planting them requires that I move all over the freaking place, and that they can die before serving their full and maximum use. Weapon Spells are cheap, I can cast them from range, and they are unstrippable. They are done when they are done, by design. Also, IMHO, the synergy is tighter with Weapon spells. I just need better E-management than Wielder's Boon... Or make my SS Necro into an SV, and slot Blood Ritual...

And last, yes, I would love to see this along with an imbagon and just 1 monk on heals. I would also love to see a side-by-side comparison on the two builds, imbagon and Rit Lord.
I've been VQing and doing other HM on my ToF-Imba.
That guy provided enough protection for Mhenlo alone to keep up the whole party (well, with some help from a Hayda who is running Motivation because I like my Mending, but ... it's Motivation!).
I tried the defensive spirit spam in Swamps. It failed.

An Imba does what the Shelter dude should do AND additionally does some very sweet damage. So the best thing about the ritualist is that it can be run on heroes. But make no mistake, it's still sub-par to an Imba. (Especially when we get to the part where buffed-up physicals blow up PvE and an Imba will be able to make MUCH more of those buffs than a ritu.)

I find the ritualist great for normal mode farming of materials in The Black Curtain and Tahlmark Wilderness.

Build is [Summon Djinn] [Vanguard Assassin Support][Assassins Promise][Bloodsong][Agony][Painful Bond][Drunken Master][Boon of Creation].

Great for getting materials for Essence of Celerity as the build works for farming feathers in North Kryta Province and Nebo Terrace. The Ingots and Bones are good for Armor of Salvation and Grail of Might as well. As slabs also salvage they can be used to make Powerstone of Courage.

Also as the farms do not require too much concentration, I enjoy listening to audio books while I do it.

I've been running around with this. Yup, it works
Almost sure that it's better than the old Rit Lord, too-- 'cause of the buffed AoU.

Assassin's Promise is strictly better than Ritual Lord for "ritual lord" builds.

Like so:

I want to amend myself on the other build I posted:

The weapon skill slot has to be given up for Life. The SoS spirits are too fragile to AoE at the attribute levels available, so you can't count on them surviving until SoS is recharged. This is bad because it gimps spirit light and MBS and you don't get the monster heal that's the whole point of the combo. Casting Life then kiting away from it gives you more freedom to pop the SoS spirits early if need be without compromising spirit light and MBS.

13 Spawning
16 Communing
Rest WS

Attuned Was Songkai
Serpents Quickness
Shelter
Union
Displacement
Summon Spirits
Armor of Unfeeling
Spirit to Flesh

This works pretty well actually. With Armor of Unfeeling Union will last 53 hits, Shelter 18, and Displacement 15. Spam Summon Spirits every 5..4 seconds to heal (100) or around 3 hits from displacement. Top it off with Spirit to Flesh's emergency 212 spirit heal and you'll have no problem keeping the spirits up for the remaining of it's duration. Unfortunately the build is really compressed so you can't bring a spirit such as Destruction or Pain to satisfy Spirit to Flesh's requirements. Union can get overshadowed by Displacement though so I recommend sacrificing that.

Signet of spirits, I put that sh** on everything!

Note: possible bug, Spiritleech Aura only works if you cast it after your spirits.
I actually run a very similar build myself.

though at times i dump summon spirits for a heal for a bit more direct help.

In case anyone is wondering just how powerful ritualists have become, listen to this:

I was working my way through the poisoned outcrops in NM to cap from Nehjab the Parched. As I was running along, a group of 3 margonites and a torment demon aggroed my minions along with the spirits we had left behind us. I flagged my heroes ahead and sat back to watch the fight. The spirits and minions WON! They won without any outside healing or painful bond; just pure spirit damage and some precast death novas.

And then today, I managed to defeat jedeh the mighty and his group with only my rit, a rit hero, devona, and odurra. Everyone else had been wiped by elementals earlier in the zone, but we still made it to the boss and won. Insane.

It depends on how good your heroes are at dropping enemies really. That and Assassin's promise involves one more stop to thinking... That is, targeting your enemies.

Although you should be calling targets all the time in PvE, in these Spirit builds, you are going to be targeting your spirits, repositioning yourself and your spirits, keeping an eye on their health, ect. So generally you won't want to be keeping an eye on enemies' health on top of it.

With Rit lord, depending on your attribute spread, the skills recharge anywhere from 10-14 seconds, which is very little. Energy is -already- very good with Spirit Syphon if you use it well (after casting each spirit). IMO, they are both equally efficient builds, but Assassin's promise has the downside that if it fails, it has a loooong recharge.

I would heavily recommend AP for a hero based spirit build, since heroes are very good at multitasking, but for human players not so much (unless you are confident in your ability. then by all means go for it)

Unless I need to specifically bring certain things, this is what I've been running so far.

My build: 10 resto, 13 channeling, 11 spawning (not solid on attribute spread)
Bloodsong - Vampirism - Agony - Rejuvenation - SoS - Painful Bond - Spiritleech - Res

Xandra: 14 Communing, 13 Spawning
Reclaim - Pain - Disenchant - Anguish - Dissonance - Union - Boon - open slot, usually res

Livia: 14 SR, 12 Resto
Xinrae - MBoS - Spirit Light - Life - Reovery - Rejuv - SoLS - open, usually res

and the last slot is either a generic discord MM or generic curses necro. I quit playing for a couple of years, just started again a few weeks ago (so I don't have the last rit hero =/ ) but thanks to the update I've been absolutely dominating everything with spiritwalling. Did Frostmaw's Burrow with H/H on HM for the first time two days ago, had no wipes and cleared it in about 1 1/2 hours. I literally had no hex removals and no party heals other than two spirits because I didn't know what to expect, but still had few problems xP

I like the idea, but you have a lot of high-cost rituals and no energy management whatsoever. If you'd replace the rez with Spirit Siphon or Boon of Creation, you'd be one happy camper.

My Xandra runs this build:
10+1+3 channeling, 10+1 spawning, 10 death, 5 curses
Animate Bone Minions - Death Nova - Signet of Spirits - Bloodsong - Splinter Weapon - Enfeebling Blood - Essence Strike - Boon of Creation

It's like being a kid in a candy store now. I'm fooling around with this:

Channeling: 15
Spawning: 11

Spirit Rift ~ Wielder's Strike ~ Essence Strike ~ Ghostly Haste ~ Vampirism ~ Bloodsong ~ SoS ~ Splinter Weapon

I used to have boon but I took it out. Summoning all my spirits takes 35 energy, and since I usually use them to set up a wall before an actual battle and only refresh as needed, I haven't missed it since I removed it.
